Storing the van. We used to store the old van on our front garden. It was quite a job to reverse it up there, but after a few times I got the hang of it. I backed it on first time 1 day, got outta the van, disconnected everything and told Sam to drive off. Once again, I didnt fully pull the handbrake on, and as our garden is sloped towards the house, the van rolled straight into the house!! Lucky, the only damage was to the van. (note to self, must remeber to apply handbrake One that springs to mind was about 5 years ago when we were in Luxembourg, on our tour around Europe. We stopped at a campsite and went for a cycle ride and noticed some noises coming from beyond a wooden fence (which you could not see through and was quite high). Mum and dad went to investigate it, to find it was another campsite which was only accessible through a gate which had a pin code in it (again, you could not see in). Someone came out of it and baiscally asked us if we were going in, to which dad's reply was something like "we've just come for a look". Suddenly, all was clear and mum was like "Right, seen enough!! :o :o" Turned out to only be a nudist campsite, and a man was walking towards us with nothing on!!!! - that explained the fencing another was when we were on a cl it was really cold and a serious frost out side. we didnt care as the aquarolls were covered in blankets etc. We finished the weekend away and went to take the awning down but it didnt happen. The ples had gone but the awning just stood there due to the frost keeping it ridgid. We had to hit it with a hammer along the lines of where we wanted it folding. We went up the swiss alps about 4000ft up and at this most gorgeous campsite. It truly was stunning. We were outside after setting up the folding table and all of a sudden we heard my dad yell from inside the van. Next thing we know he walked out soaking wet. He had done a no1 and forgot about atmosphere preasures. Of course being sealed down low it had a greater air preassure than up the mountain. The no1 just got thrown up all over him. On the way down my dad again went to the loo. He thought about it this time whilst sat there, but didnt think about it enough. He was sat and then chose to open the trap to let the air equal out, except his bum made an air tight seal and sucked him to the loo seat!!! We had to undo the emptying spout on the cassette loo from out side to eqaulise the air to release him off the loo again. Lesson to be told here folks.
